Royal Seal of Approval of LMI Programme Achievements

LMI-UK Directors were delighted and honoured to be invited to attend the official opening of the new Birkenhead YMCA. Over the last twelve months LMI-UK has been working with the CEO Anne Johnson and her Deputy, Nigel Hughes on an Effective Personal Leadership programme and a Effective Motivational Leadership programme. During this time we have been privileged to observe the realisation of this ambitious project and have witnessed genuine application of the programme materials.
Birkenhead YMCA, which is Britain’s oldest YMCA outside of London, has undergone a £5.4million development resulting in their new building Hope Prospect. This building was officially opened by HRH the Duke of Kent who was particularly impressed by the commitment and the efforts of the whole team at Birkenhead.
Anne Johnson comments about the LMI programme, “My wider staff team were taken on the learning curve with me as I used them to test out the principles and techniques and they too have benefited from new ways of working. It has also given them a better understanding of how to manage their own work well, deal effectively with their team members and colleagues, and remedy issues where poor or ineffective communication has been evidenced.”
Birkenhead YMCA’s mission is to help build positive futures and overcome barriers to employment for people of all ages and from disadvantaged backgrounds. Find out more at www.birkenheadymca.co.uk
