The Arthur Terry School
"Last night the Governors and the Leadership Group met at Moor Hall Hotel for a three hour training session. During the training, leadership, learning and teaching featured highly. Throughout the three hour session there was regular mention of the Young Leaders Academy programme that Mark Tonks has been pursuing with our students and the work he has undertaken in developing so many of our youngsters.
Near the end of the training session we were joined by Alex Brooks and Laura Thursfield, two of his protégées. They were absolutely stupendous and what everybody was saying, when they recovered from the shock of the brilliant deliveries, was how grateful they were to have Mark as a mentor and colleague, and for all that he has done to help our students over such a long period of time.
On behalf of the staff, students, parents, and governors of The Arthur Terry School I would like to thank Mark most sincerely for the tremendous and selfless contribution that he has made to the lives of so many here.”

It was evident to me after listening to their feedback and also talking to Alex and Laura during the meal that their awareness and maturity towards AFL and their own Personal Development will ensure they will be successful in whatever path they choose in life.
